What is Bubble tea?

Bubble tea (also known as boba, pearl milk tea, or tapioca tea) combines brewed tea with milk, creamers, or fruit syrups, then adds toppings to create a sweet tasting treat beverage.
Bubble tea began as a playful twist on traditional Taiwanese tea culture and has since grown into a global favourite. At its core, it’s a tea‑based drink—usually black, green, or oolong tea—blended with milk or fruit flavours and finished with chewy tapioca pearls that give it its signature texture. The drink first appeared in Taiwan in the 1980s, where tea shops began experimenting with toppings like tapioca balls to create something fun, refreshing, and texturally unique.

Since then it has evolved into many different variants its predecessor with the inclusion of popping boba (juice-filled spheres that burst when bitten), fruit jellies toppings, grass jelly, red bean any many more traditional East Asian dessert toppings.

Ordering a bubble tea.

There are two ways to order your bubble tea from our trailer at an event.

  1. Order one of the Boba Goblin specials- These are pre selected bubble tea drink combinations that take the hassle out of find the right flavour combinations. Tried and tested recipes with flavours you will be sure to love. Our specials menu also includes seasonal specials.

  2. Make your own combination- Perfect for the seasoned boba goblin that knows what they like and how they like it or someone adventurous. How you make your perfect dink is up to you, just follow the process below.

1st- Tea base

Select the tea base you want. Green teas are normally best in fruit teas and black teas are for lovers of a more bitter taste.

2nd- Syrup fruit tea or Milk tea

Next up do you want a sweet fruity flavour or a more traditional milk tea. Once decided its time to pick the flavour.

3rd- Boba and toppings time

Its now time to select the famous boba. Chewy tapioca or sugary fruit popping boba that burst in you mouth. If that’s not enough you can also add other toppings like jams, jellies and creams.

4th- Enjoy

Now its time to enjoy your creation.

    • El dorado- A sparkling masterpiece that tastes of sweet citrus orange paired with dark chocolate and topped with lychee popping boba.

    • If you like Pina Colada- If coconuts and beach vibes are your thing this is if you. This non alcoholic mocktail tastes like the real cocktail but is topped with mango popping boba. Vegan milk version available with tapioca pearls.

    • Jammy Goblin- If bitter sweetness is your thing this Goblin packs a punch. Strawberry jam filled Vegan milk matcha tea with tapioca peals.

    • Violet Oats- Nostalgic violet sweetshop taste. Oat milk base with violet flower extract and tapioca peals.

    • Assam- Black tea.

    • Jasmine- Green tea.

    • Oolong- Green Tea.
